Our next training session will be Saturday, 8:30-10am. Meet at Parvin's Beach entrance on Almond Road. We will warm up, then do long slow runs for about 1hour (with a few water breaks) along a one mile trail. Degree of difficulty - EASY. Be sure to have plenty of water.
Parent note: There is a form that needs to be filled out by a parent for your summer training. This form has been added in Genesis as a required parent electronic acknowledgement. The form can be found IN THE PARENT PORTAL under the FORMS tab - year round weight room form.
Our training schedule for July will be as listed below. If you cannot make it to a session, be sure to do it on your own. Besides our 3 TEAM sessions you are to do 2 more by yourself.
Tuesday's - TEAM at Bridgeton Zoo, 8:30-10am. Warm up. A series of runs on different loops around that section of the Park. Some of the shorter loops we will run harder. Yoga-stretch at the end.
Thursday's - TEAM at CRHS, 6:30-8pm. Warm up. Short runs will drills and strength training. Yoga-stretch at the end.
Saturday's - TEAM at Parvin's, as described above. The goal is to get everyone around the lake trail (3.1m) by the end of July.
ALSO: Two days on your own (Monday and Friday) -- Warm up; run of 25 min easy; stretch; 4x 20 second build up run.
